Dog Training

At Commonwealth Pet Care, we believe dog training is an essential and necessary for the proper development of a dog. We also believe dog training is a vital part of pet care and dog raising, and should be a lifetime activity just like grooming and feeding your dog. We also believe training should be fun and affordable.  

Commonwealth Pet Care offers a variety of affordable training services to suit your training needs and goals. We offer video follow-up training through Zoom, Outdoor group classes (Spring-Fall), Private Training, and Board & Train. Due to COVID-19 indoor group classes are postponed until further notice.  

The earlier you start with training, the easier, and the less expensive raising and living with your dog will be. Most people will need a combination of board and train, group classes, and private training to suit their dog training needs and goals. We recommend starting with a private initial consultation so we can evaluate your dog and your situation, create a customized training plan to suit your specific needs and goals, and recommend the best training options for you and your dog. 

Prepayment is required 72 hours before training appointment to set and confirm training appointments. We accept cash, checks, Zelle (bank transfer and debit card payments), and Square (3.5% processing fee for payments $70 and above, 5% processing fee for payments below $70 with a $50 minimum). An additional 20% fee is charged for not prepaying (training fee only). There are no refunds for training appointments/sessions cancelled or rescheduled with less than 72 hour notice, except for rescheduling due to inclement weather.
